1900s Photo of Lost Mount Adams Incline in Cincinnati

This beautiful photo shows Mt. Adams in Cincinnati in the early 1900s. This was an old funicular which carried both streetcars and autos up the 945 foot incline. Sadly, this fascinating piece of Cincinnati history was closed in 1948 and ultimately demolished.

Check out this cool YouTube video we dug up about the Mount Adams Incline.

Here’s an interesting website that we dug up from 10 years ago, built by Pete Blackshaw, resident (former or current?) of Mt. Adams. Pete, you have a fascinating model of the Incline. Hopefully you’re checking out this post!
