A Look Back at Washington’s Griffith Stadium in 1958

This old photo shows Washington's Griffith Stadium in 1958. The Senators moved to Minnesota and became the Twins after the 1960 season. An expansion Washington Senators was placed in D.C. in 1961, but they too moved on and became the Texas Rangers for the 1972 season.

This is an awesome old photo showing Washington’s Griffith Stadium, the home of the Senators. The photo is labeled as being 1958. The team would end up moving to Minnesota and become the Twins after the 1960 season. An expansion Washington Senators was placed in D.C. in 1961 as a replacement, but they too moved on, heading to become the Texas Rangers for the 1972 season.
