Queen Elizabth II Visits Timaru Railway Station in New Zealand

This photo shows a young Queen Elizabeth II visiting New Zealand’s Timaru Railway Station on January 25th, 1954. The Queen and her husband, Philip, Duke of Edinburgh were visiting New Zealand between December 23rd, 1953 and January 30th, 1954. She has been to the country quite a number of times, but this was her first visit.

Photo is of Queen Elizabeth II at the Timaru Railway Station on the Royal Train during her and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh’s visit to New Zealand from 23 December 1953 to 30 January 1954.
