This is a photo that is powerful and speaks for itself. Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig were not the best of friends, but they were teammates on the legendary New York Yankees of the 1920s, and indisputably two of the greatest hitters in the history of baseball. Lou’s funeral was June 3rd, 1941 and he was buried at Kenisco Cemetery in New York, next door to Gate of Heaven Cemetery where Ruth is buried.
