Exploring a Rare 1940 Map of the Korean Peninsula Before U.S. Entry Into World War II

This is a rare map of the Korean peninsula as it was in 1940. This was before the U.S. entered World War II and during the Empire of Japan’s occupation of the country. It’s interesting to note that the map states “Korea is logical target for U.S. invasion to break supply lines.” Click on the map for a larger, more detailed version.
